I have embarked on the 30 day ab challenge, 30 day squat challenge AND the 30 push-up challenge! Why?! Because I needed to make a change and I needed to push outside of my comfort zone. I was starting to feel like my body was not my own. I'd stop moving and other parts would continue on for a few seconds longer. So instead of complaining about it for months, I decided to take action and along with my fiancé came up with a plan to motivate and challenge each other. The 30 day challenges are great because they start off slow and build to levels that I did not think I could handle. It is also a great way to build a work out routine that I can easily fit into my day and do at home or at the gym. Sometimes it doesn't happen until 12am, but it is so rewarding to start to feel like I fit in my own skin. I downloaded 3 great apps that allow daily tracking of your workout, sends reminders, has different levels, and shows you how to correctly do the exercises. Next up fav spa pick! Bliss. It is so hard as an artist to budget, and save. But if you can manage, you won't be sorry! Dancers, and really humans in general can be so hard on our bodies, so it is really important to maintain! I recently went in to Bliss Soho and had a massage by Gary, I swear I have a new spine, I came out feeling like I was 20 again! Seriously, I can't remember the last time I was this pain free! Cathy had her massage by Harris, and had nothing but raves as well. Treat yourself well, no one else is guaranteed to do it for you!
